Buffalo Hostital earned an "A" grade for patient safety in the Spring 2022 Leapfrog Safety Grade rankings. This national distinction recognizes achievements in protecting patients from harm and error in the hospital. The Leapfrog Group is an independent, national nonprofit organization run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors and harms to patients. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
